The number of students below the poverty level is the New York State
Census Poverty Index: The number of children 5
to 17 years of age in families below the poverty level, as determined by
the 1990 Federal census, divided by the total number of children within
the district boundaries who are 5 to 17 years of age.
The Federal Health and Human Services Poverty Level for a family of three
