School district statistics

In the 1999-2000 school year, the Glen Cove school district had 3 146 students in six school buildings. There were approximately 240 students per grade. The student-to-teacher ratio was 14.2.

Average class size was 20 in kindergarten, 22 in elementary school, 22.5 in eighth grade, and 22 in tenth grade.

507 students were classified as students with disabilities.

Glen Cove had 220 teachers, who earned an average of $69 765 per year. Of these 46% had a master's degree plus thirty hours of additional courses or had a doctorate.

The total school budget was $44 million, which was an expenditure of $14 030 per student.

90 percent of Glen Cove high school graduates went on to college.
