Organizational Meeting

Minutes

Present: Janet Bates-Wilkins, Nancy Fender, Jean Kuttruff, Gail Nedbor-Gross, Natasha Price, Lorri Prince, Kathy Rapelje, Don Scarl

The Coalition decided not to charge dues but to ask members for donations.

Lorri Prince agreed to become treasurer.

Natasha Price will ask members of the retired teachers association to become members of the Coalition and to support the revote of the school budget.

Jean Kuttruff will ask the people who attend the upcoming Landing School Reunion to support the budget.

Natasha Price will ask the City of Glen Cove to arrange that the City Bus stop at the polling places on the day of the budget vote.

Gail Nedbor-Gross will talk with the boards of the Junior Soccer League, the Little League, and the Lacrosse League about supporting the budget and asking the players to take fliers home to their parents.

Don Scarl will call AnnMarie Morra to ask how we can talk to leaders in The Orchard about supporting the budget and getting out the Orchard vote.

Janet Bates-Wilkins will talk to the leaders of the African American Advisor Council and the Fuerza Unida and ask them to persuade their board and their members to support the budget.

Janet Bates-Wilkins and Don Scarl will write a letter to the Record Pilot in the name of the Coalition.

Lorri Prince will talk with Kim Ravener and other recent alumni about getting class lists of recent alumni.

Mary O’Brien will send Don Scarl her list of recent graduates.

Lorri Prince will call City Hall to arrange for a meeting room for next week.

The next meeting will be at City Hall at 7:00PM on Tuesday, 30 May
