Glen Cove High School Principal Keith Schenker will be the guest speaker at the Monday, 11 February 2008 meeting of the Coalition for Glen Cove

Keith Schenker is approaching his fifteenth year in education with close to half those years spent as a building administrator. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from SUNY Stonybrook and immediately entered the Masters program at Teachers College, Columbia University. After finishing his Masters in Social Studies education he continued his studies at Teachers College and earned his Master of Education degree as well. Since 1993, Keith has spent all but one year working with high school students, at first as their social studies teacher and then as an Assistant Principal and Principal. He has devoted a considerable portion of his life to working with children and has a passion for rethinking and re-envisioning the American high school to meet the needs of all students while preparing them for the challenges of a 21^st century job market.
