How can communication between the board of education and the community be improved?
Expand meeting agendas to include one
or two sentences explaining each agenda item
Publish complete board minutes on website and have available at next
meeting
Install a microphone for each board member and administrator
Allow comments from the public at regular and special meetings
Explain at each meeting that comments
naming particular students, teachers, or administrators are not
appropriate and that comment period will be ended when comments
begin to duplicate previous comments
Explain how board members gather the information they need before
making decisions
