Meeting of 14 November 2005
Susan Breen, English coordinator for the Glen Cove School District,
will speak at the Coalition for Glen Cove meeting on Monday,
November 14th, 2005, at 7:30PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 28
Highland Road in Glen Cove.
Ms. Breen is certified as a reading specialist for kindergarten
through twelfth grade and as a teacher of English. She has worked as
a reading coordinator and English teacher in the South Bronx and
Jamaica and has been an assistant principal for English at Francis
Lewis High School in Queens. She has served on the New York City
Chancellor’s Literacy Task Force, as chair of the United Federation
of Teachers Reading Sub-Committee, and as the editor of Queens
Essential, the public relations magazine for the Queens
superintendent’s office. Her published works have been used in
reading and English classes.
