The school budget vote and board election will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Carol Sucharski’s seat is up for election and she will run again for a three year term. Carol will run unopposed

The Coalition will send a mailing and run ads to persuade voters to vote for the school budget.

Betty Cammisa has organized an essay contest for Glen Cove High School seniors on the topic "My Glen Cove Education Has Given Me..." The Coalition will award three prizes of $200 savings bonds.

Leslie Whitely arranged the annual Coalition Brunch on May 1st. Ronnie Lavine was in charge of reservations for the Brunch.

Leslie Whitely also arranged a breakfast at Deasy School for Glen Cove Realtors on April 27th at 10AM

Ted Holmes has been receiving contributions to our annual fund-raising appeal and has been sending thank-you letters to donors.

Superintendent Mary Ellen Freeley and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Diane Scricca have announced their resignation. They have improved our schools, increased test scores, and established a path that the district will continue to follow. We thank them for all they have done.
