Richard Tortorici will run for school board in May and has asked the Coalition to endorse him. Since he is the only candidate who has approached us, we could endorse him without sending a primary ballot to the members. If anyone has another suggestion for a candidate we should endorse, please send an email to Don Scarl.

Ted Holmes has agreed to chair the Coalition membership committee.

Sophie Zimmerman has arranged the annual Coalition Brunch at Steamboat Landing for Saturday morning, April 12th..

Fern Lindenbaum has updated the Coalition list of one-hundred Glen Cove community organizations and their leaders. If you would like a copy of the list email Don Scarl  Maria Reyes will invite community leaders to an open house at the Glen Cove schools.

Leslie Whitely will invite Glen Cove Real Estate salespeople to a breakfast meeting at the Glen Cove schools.

The PTA Council has asked the Coalition to make a presentation to Beverly Granger at the Scholarship Dinner-Dance at the Swan Club on Sunday, March 9th.

Helen Kotzky is organizing a committee to discuss opportunities in the Glen Cove schools for academically gifted children. If you want to join the committee send an email to  Helen Kotzky.

The first ever Glen Cove Library budget vote will be held at the library on Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
