Diane Scricca, the new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum will be
the guest speaker at the October Coalition meeting.
Announcements
Lucille Cuttler has been negotiating with the
McCall-Mehiel campaign office to have Carl McCall come to Glen Cove to
speak about education in New York State. McCall will not come but
Dennis Mehiel may come.
Chris Swirnoff has agreed to head the publicity
committee.

Discussion
We will invite Robert Root, Superintendent of the
North Shore schools, or Carol Thompson, legal council to the school
system, to speak about the new Federal “Leave No Child Behind” program
and its effect on the schools.
Janet Brown has interviewed Susan Moor; Joanna
Miller will interview the school psychologist, Rich Tortorici will
interview Diane Scricca
