Natheley and Ian Siegel arranging a fundraising brunch on a beautiful Saturday morning at Steamboat Landing Restaurant. About 30 people. The funds raised helped pay for ads in the papers. Thanks to Ian Siegel for having invitations to the fund-raising brunch printed. Thanks to Sophie Zimmerman for coordinating reservations for the brunch.

Janet arranged for David Sidikman, our representative in the New York State Assembly, to speak about school aid at a public meeting on Thursday, April 26th in Glen Cove City Hall. There was an article in the Record Pilot about the meeting.

Jerry Ahern, Florence Budraitis, Erma Burch, Betty Cammisa, Martin Carmody, Barbara Cohen, Lucille Cuttler, Maryann Driscoll, Nancy Fender, Beverley Granger, Harvey Gross, Helen Harwood, Lore Holmes, Ted Holmes, Seymour Kary, Helen Kotzky, Gail Nedbor-Gross, Adina Orshan, Bob Rubin, Senora Satchell, Don Scarl, Bruce Schor, Kathy Screnci, Mikki Shapiro, Chris Swirnoff, Mike Swirnoff, Nancy Townsend, Genevieve Vazquez, Leslie Whitely, Sophie Zimmerman, Burt Zwiebach, Sally Zwiebach, Natheley, and Janet have written effective letters to the papers supporting the candidacy of Natheley and Janet. Barbara Dubin and Ronnie Lavine have sent absentee ballots requests to homes of graduates of the past four years.

Janet Bates-Wilkins and Natheley McElrath (and Rick Smith) spoke to the Glen Cove Lions club as school board candidates.
